Where in Kansas City can I rent a road bike?

I am a runner who is going to do a Duathlon and the only bikes I have owned have been mountain bikes. I'd like to be able to rent a road bike for the event (1 day) or for the week preceding it to get used to it. Any ideas who rents bikes in the KC area?

Considering that I LIVE in Kansas City, I think I have a pretty good idea where it is. I just don't know where to rent bikes here. Thanks for your helpful answer.

There are two bike shops in KC that have rentals. River Market Cyclery Downtown and The Bicycle Shack in South KC…

I don’t know of any shops that rent bikes here. Usually bike rental is more prominent in areas where there is a lot of bike tourism. I’d just try calling the stores like BikeSource, Trek Bicycle Store and Bike America. Bike America might have a used bike that they would rent to you for a week.
